Our name comes from Palio di Siena, a medieval horse race run through the streets of Siena, Italy. Remarkably, today it is still led by jockeys riding horses bareback in colorful medieval attire. The enduring ability of the citizens of Siena to maintain these historical traditions inspired us to name our company, "Palio Coffee" after their ancient race. We are equally adamant to preserve the artisan age-old coffee roasting traditions handed down from master to apprentice. Starting with the highest quality, green beans we can source from around world, we roast in small batches by hand, delivering artisan, handcrafted quality you can taste. We have over 25 years of experience in the art of coffee roasting.
