About Just

The International Living Future Institute's JUST program marks the beginning of a new era of corporate transparency, focusing on social justice and equity. It invites organizations of all types and sizes to evaluate themselves through this lens and strive to become a Just organization. The program serves as a voluntary disclosure platform and tool for organizations to create a more socially just and equitable world.

JUST acts as a nutrition label for socially just and equitable organizations. Unlike a certification program, it is a transparency platform where organizations voluntarily disclose their operations, including how they treat their employees and where they make financial and community investments. By reporting on a range of organization- and employee-related indicators, organizations showcase their commitments and efforts towards these issues.

The indicators outlined in the JUST program cover various aspects of an organization's operations, such as employee benefits, diversity and inclusion, worker safety, local community engagement, and responsible investment practices. Each indicator comes with measurable accountabilities, allowing organizations to assess their performance and strive for continuous improvement.

The JUST program recognizes organizations at four levels of performance, which are summarized on the label itself. Organizations can display the JUST label on their website or marketing materials to demonstrate their commitment to social justice and equity. Additionally, the International Living Future Institute transparently publishes the detailed information provided by organizations in a publicly viewable database.

By participating in the JUST program, organizations showcase their dedication to creating positive social impact and contributing to a more equitable world. The program encourages organizations to prioritize employee well-being, community engagement, and responsible business practices. Ultimately, the JUST program fosters transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in organizations' social justice and equity efforts.
