Since 1919 Wasa has been the largest producer of crusty bread in the world, selling its products in 40 different countries, from Scandinavia to America. In 1999 Wasa became an entity of the Barilla Group, joining many other brands such as Mulino Bianco, Harrys and Pavesi. The Wasa production sites are located in Filipstad in Sweden and Celle in Germany. From these locations we make crusty bread & other products for many countries around the world. The largest markets for the Wasa brand outside of Sweden are the other Nordic countries & Germany, closely followed by Poland, Holland, France and the United States of America.
