Imagine wool is created from a passion for knitting and a will to contribute to a better world.

We are a Swedish/Swiss couple that lives with our three children in Sweden. Josefin contributes with the passion for knitting and has a background in public health and has been working with issues related to social sustainability. Alexandre is an entrepreneur driven by environmental sustainability. Alexandre is used to be surrounded by wool since his mother and grandmother had a yarn shop when he grew up in his home village in the swiss alps.

After years of knitting, Josefin became more aware of the environmental and social impact of certain materials, and started to search for the best possible options for the yarn she bought. But it turned out the options were not that many.

After involving Alexandre into the search, the idea of creating a new brand of yarn was born. Alexandre dug deep into finding out what fibre had the least impact on the environment and how it was possible to create such a product. It took months of research and contacts with many different producers to finally see the whole chain. The result is Imagine Wool, yarn made from 100 % GOTS certified Merino Wool.
