ALOHA

🇺🇸 United States

From day one, our team committed to making delicious food the right way. Our organic certification helps us ensure that your ALOHA products are as clean and natural as they are delicious. When we source organic, it means that we can guarantee that our ingredients are produced without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors. Beyond the delicious, wholesome taste that comes with these naturally-grown options, we also believe that thoughtful sourcing practices are critical due to their communal consequence: organic farming is baseline more sustainable than conventional methods. That means when ALOHA chooses to source only organic materials, our brand is working to support the ongoing preservation of natural resources. All this to say ? ALOHA has been, is, and will be organic. Always. Non-GMO Here?s the quick down-low on GMOs: Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are living organisms that have been genetically engineered in a laboratory to exhibit traits that they do not exhibit under normal conditions. Sounding like a creepy science experiment? Right, it did to us, too. There has been increasing concern regarding both the potential health consequences and the long term environmental impact of GMOs, so basically we said? hell no GMO. Gluten-Free So what?s the deal with gluten? Basically, gluten refers to the proteins found in wheat, spelt, rye and barley, and is commonly found in foods like bread, pasta, cereal, and baked goods. Sounds harmless, right? All protein is good protein? Not necessarily. Up to 6% of the US population is affected by the inconvenience and discomfort of a gluten sensitivity (just in case you?re not a math genius, that?s about 19.8 million people looking for gluten-free options at the grocery store). So for all those gluten-free seekers, and for anyone just looking to give their system a break from a gluten-heavy diet, we work to craft all of our delicious products to be completely gluten-free. Dairy-Free This one is pretty straightforward ? we keep dairy (and all other animal byproducts) out of your ALOHA goodies. To be clear, this is not because we believe that eating yogurt or milk or butter makes you the prince(ss) of darkness. It?s because at ALOHA, we strive to make food that is both delicious to enjoy and easy to digest. And we find that simple, plant-based ingredients help us bring you to that happy balance. That being said, if you want to enjoy an ALOHA bar crumbled on top of a scoop of ice cream? Be our guest. Soy-Free In case you missed it above, ALOHA says ?hell no? when it comes to GMOs. We want to deliver you products with premium quality, natural ingredients ? and that simply doesn?t allow room for GMO-produced soy and the associated glyphosate residue (a.k.a. herbicide). Furthermore, soy is a common allergen and is often associated with digestive discomfort. Basically, genetically modified soy can be harsh on the environment and harsh on our bodies. So, one more time for the people in the back ? hell no, GMO. No Stevia Look, we?re not here to bash stevia. If you?re into it, that?s totally cool. That being said, stevia has proven to be a frustrating ingredient for a lot of folks in the ALOHA circle. Whether it was a weird aftertaste or an unhappy stomach, we heard repeatedly that our community was asking for a natural sweetener that didn?t come with caveats. So we got to work. After evaluating a dozen different options, we found that organic monk fruit and organic coconut sugar brought our ALOHA products a natural, subtle sweetness that totally hits the spot. No Sugar Alcohols Sugar alcohols, such as sorbitol, maltitol, and erythritol, are additives that food companies like to use as a substitute for natural sugars. Why, you may ask? Technically, sugar alcohols add a sweet taste to food products without upping the sugar content or calorie content on the nutrition panel. This may sound like a good thing, but these processed sweeteners are much harder for your body to digest, meaning that instead of being metabolized like natural sugars, some people experience stomach discomfort and bloating (ugh). Rather than focusing on appearances, ALOHA works to find naturally occurring, plant-based sweeteners ? like organic coconut sugar and organic monk fruit ? that bring a subtle sweetness to our products without boosting blood sugar levels or challenging your digestive tract. Nothing Artificial Think of this as the ALOHA bottom line. We don?t use artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors in our products because ? surprise! ? they taste artificial. Instead we rely on simple, quality, all-natural ingredients that taste as good as they are good for you. Vegan Look, we know the tropes ? but we?re not here to convert you. We?re here to provide you with absolutely delicious, ridiculously high-quality foods and drinks. We choose to be a fully plant-based, vegan brand because it means we can share real, sustainable, nourishing food with? pretty much everyone. So if you?re vegan? Welcome. If you?re a carnivore? You?re also welcome. Because delicious, nutritious food is something we can all agree on.
