Trident Limited, the flagship of the Trident Group, is a leading name in home textiles and wheat-straw-based paper, serving both domestic and international markets. With world-class facilities in Barnala and Dhaula (Punjab) and Budhni (Madhya Pradesh), the company brings together natural materials and modern technology to create bed and bath linen, yarn, and eco-friendly paper products. Sustainability is a central focus for Trident, reflected in initiatives such as zero liquid discharge systems at its Budhni operations, expansion of renewable energy, and ongoing investments in efficiency. The company has set decarbonization targets in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aiming for a 42% cut in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2031 from a 2021 baseline, with a longer-term vision of becoming net zero by 2040. By June 2024, solar capacity had reached 40.9 MWp, complemented by a 16.3 MW biomass-based cogeneration plant. The paper division is distinguished by its use of wheat straw as a primary raw material and the production of FSC-certified papers for packaging. Trident also emphasizes responsibility across its operations and supply chain, guided by policies on environment, climate and biodiversity, human rights, EHS, diversity and inclusion, and supplier standards. For FY 2023–24, the company reported Scope 1 emissions of 673,656 tCO2e and Scope 2 emissions of 347,698 tCO2e, noting revisions to the previous year’s data to align with the GHG Protocol. On the social front, Trident is working toward 30% women’s representation by 2030 and contributes to communities through initiatives like the Madhuban Hospital in Budhni. With a presence in New York, England and Dubai, and Indian hubs in New Delhi, Mumbai, Gurugram, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Bhopal, Trident continues to strengthen its global reach while staying rooted in its commitment to sustainable growth.
