Rapanui Clothing
Rapanui Clothing ltd is a sustainable clothing brand based in the Isle of Wight, UK. It was founded in 2008 by brothers Mart and Rob Drake-Knight, who have degrees in renewable energy and business. Rapanui offers men’s and women’s clothing, including organic, ethical and recycled t-shirts, hoodies, jumpers, pants, socks and more. Rapanui also has a range of circular products, designed to be returned to them for recycling and repurposing once they are worn out. Rapanui aims to create products that have a positive impact on the environment and society, by using natural materials, renewable energy, plastic-free packaging and ethical factories. Rapanui also educates its customers about the origin and production of its clothing, by providing transparent information, photos and facts on its website. Rapanui has won several awards for its innovative and sustainable business model, such as the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, the Observer Ethical Award and the Sustainable Business Award. Rapanui also collaborates with various organisations that raise awareness for environmental issues, such as the Marine Conservation Society, Surfers Against Sewage and the World Wildlife Fund. Rapanui is more than just a clothing brand, it is a community of people who share a passion for nature, adventure and sustainability. Rapanui is inspired by coastal living and the spirit of Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island, a remote and mysterious place that symbolises the challenges and opportunities of our planet. Rapanui invites its customers to join its mission to make clothing more sustainable, circular and ethical, and to become part of the solution for a better future. 🌱
