Kria Botanicals was founded in the spring of 2018 with the mission of breaking the bottleneck that exists between small farmers growing high-quality hemp and value-added CBD products. After spending two years growing hemp in Vermont, Kria co-founder Dan Chang gained valuable knowledge of the plant and how it is grown and dried - and saw a serious problem facing farmers who need extraction services to create a marketable product. That led to a years-long process of establishing a premium extraction lab, using only the highest-quality, certified organic hemp available on the market. We started small, perfecting the art of extraction in small batches using subcritical CO2. Over time, our business has grown in size and scope. We added scientists with years of extraction and lab experience to our team. We expanded our operations to include ethanol extraction in addition to CO2, and we grew our formulation, analytics, and testing capacities. We are also at the forefront of developing innovative new cannabinoid extracts, including certified organic CBG. Today, Kria Botanicals is a thriving business in the heart of Vermont’s hemp economy. We were the first USDA-certified extraction lab in the state, and we’re serving customers across the country who are interested in sourcing premium CBD and CBG oil for their products.
