Gulu Agricultural Development

Gulu Agricultural Development Company (GADC) is an agribusiness firm based in northern Uganda, specializing in organic cotton, sesame, maize, and edible oil production since its founding in 2009. Established in the aftermath of the LRA conflict, GADC revitalized defunct ginneries in Gulu, Kitgum, and Rhino Camp, transforming them into hubs for sustainable agricultural processing. The company employs zero-waste processing and eco-friendly technologies to produce high-quality cotton, sesame oil, and maize for export to Europe and Asia. Its partnerships with organizations like Mercy Corps and involvement in initiatives such as Cotton Work highlight its commitment to fair trade and transparent supply chains.
