Beauty Without Cruelty (BWC) was founded in 1963 in England by the trustees of BWC Charitable Trust, an animal welfare organization. The company was established with the goal of manufacturing and distributing color cosmetics that were not tested on animals and did not contain any animal ingredients. The driving force behind the project was Katherine Long, a dedicated animal welfare activist, cosmetician, and vegetarian. Over the years, BWC has grown to offer a full line of cruelty-free, vegan skin, body, and hair care products made with the finest ingredients and aroma-therapeutic essential oils. The company is committed to high quality, fair pricing, and environmental sensitivity. Beauty Without Cruelty is also a certified member of the Vegan Society and Cruelty Free International. It has been Leaping Bunny certified since 2011-07-18.
