About American Apparel & Footwear Association

American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) is the national trade association that represents the interests and values of the apparel, footwear and other sewn products industry in the global market. The association was established in 2000 as a result of the merger of two legacy organizations: the American Apparel Manufacturers Association and the Footwear Industries of America. Since then, AAFA has grown to include more than 1,000 members, ranging from world famous name brands, retailers, manufacturers, and service providers, to small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups, and emerging designers. AAFA is the trusted public policy and political voice of the industry, advocating for its members on issues such as trade, logistics, manufacturing, brand protection, supply chain, and sourcing.
