A banker by profession, Robert took over the kitchen and six months later, voila! Chef Robert emerged with amazingly tasty and nutritious premium fruit snacks. Robert named the new product Matt?s Munchies after his son, Matthew, who helped develop the unique flavors. Chef Roberts Inc is a family owned and operated business. In 2009, the family moved their factory from New York to Santa Ana, CA. Brothers Joe and Sam are involved; it?s a family enterprise!

Sunfood, Superfoods was born out of a desire to reverse an alarming trend seen throughout America in the mid-90s. Consuming dead, processed foods full of unnatural ingredients contributed to the amount of diseases, illnesses, obesity, and general poor-health of many people. The result was a reliance on pharmaceuticals, surgery and western medicine that only suppressed the symptoms, instead of treating the underlying issue. Two health-minded friends in Southern California decided they wanted to promote an alternate healing path. Then, an interesting thought occurred, Why were there other cultures from around the world, past and present, who had little to no health issues? What was their secret?? So, the search began to uncover healing wisdom lost to modern society. Traveling to South America to visit communities sustained by ancient traditions of using food as medicine opened their eyes and their minds. It didn?t take long to find other cultures around the world that also use food to fight illness, increase longevity, boost immunity, increase energy, and benefit overall health. The search for these exotic superfoods continues today, as Robert DeuPree (CEO) leads the charge to discover the foods and wisdom that help people heal and rejuvenate naturally. The first Handy Pantry Food Store opened in 1976. Over the past 39 years this family owned and operated business has grown to 11 locations serving the Suffolk County community from the north shore to the south shore. Our stores offer a high level of customer service, and help you avoid the long lines at the supermarket. Our Deli department offers premium meats & cheeses, freshly prepared salads, and prepared breakfast and lunch sandwiches. We brew fresh coffees and teas at our Tea & Coffee bar all day. Handy Pantry also offers dairy products, groceries, to-go-meals, produce, frozen foods, beer, and more.
Drink Simple was founded by two dedicated triathletes, Kate Weiler and Jeff Rose, brought together by their passion for whole foods, nutrition and endurance sports. The duo discovered the subtly sweet taste and naturally hydrating benefits of maple water while traveling to Quebec to compete in the Ironman Mont-Tremblant triathlon. At first taste and after experiencing the hydrating benefits firsthand, they were hooked. Following their Canadian adventure, they sought to find a pure maple water source in the United States.
As brothers living between NYC & Bangkok, we grew up eating differently. We created Dang????, named after our Mom?to share uniquely Asian-American snacks with the flavors and ingredients we love, including our famous original Coconut Chips, our Thai street snack-inspired Thai Rice Chips, and our Keto Friendly Bars. HOW WE STARTED In 2011 I told my mom (aka ?Mama Dang?) I was starting a pop-up restaurant in NYC so she gave me her recipe for Thai lettuce wraps that called for toasted coconut. I had to make my own since I couldn?t find any at the store. Starting from scratch, I shaved thick strips of fresh coconut meat and lightly toasted them to perfection. The naturally sweet aroma caught my roommates' attention and the satisfying flavor and crunch kept them coming back. I knew in that moment that I had to start a snack food company. I launched Dang, naming it after my Mom. My brother Andrew joined in and since then we?ve used inspiration from our Thai-American heritage to create Asian-American snacks so delicious you?ll say...?Dang, that?s good!? -Vincent K.
