Our Story

TET. Responsible wear is more than just a brand; it's a celebration of female collaboration, responsibility, and total transparency. Our journey begins and ends in the ocean, where they draw inspiration and purpose. Let me share our story with you:

  1. Founder's Vision: The brand was founded by Lieke van Hulsbergen. During her distant travels, she witnessed the growing plastic problem firsthand. While working on her graduation project focused on recycled materials, she discovered Repreve—an innovative, high-quality fabric made from plastic waste and industrial nylon waste. This discovery sparked the idea of creating swimwear that effectively tackles the plastic pollution issue.

  2. Bali Roots: In 2018, Lieke moved to Bali, a place where TET.'s roots lie. She personally sought out the factories where their products are produced, emphasizing proximity to the source. This hands-on approach ensures that their production aligns with their values.

  3. From Swimwear to More: Initially, TET. Responsible wear focused on sustainable bikinis. However, their commitment to responsible fashion has expanded. Today, they produce not only swimwear but also yoga wear and other sustainable clothing.

Sustainable Approach

At TET., they believe in a sustainable future. Here's how they make it happen:

  1. Repreve Swimwear: All their swimwear is crafted from Repreve, an innovative performance fabric. Repreve is made from plastic waste and industrial nylon waste, produced by certified factories. By using Repreve, they actively contribute to debris reduction and address the plastic pollution problem.

  2. Organic Materials: Beyond swimwear, their sustainable clothing, sportswear, and accessories are made from organic materials:

    • Organic Cotton: Grown without pesticides and from non-genetically modified seeds.
    • Linen: Biodegradable, strong, and long-lasting. Linen is made from flax plant fibers.
    • Tencel: Derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp, Tencel is soft, breathable, and eco-friendly.
    • Organic Bamboo: A renewable resource that provides comfort and durability.

  3. Reversible Designs: All their bikinis are reversible, allowing you to mix and match items effortlessly. Your bikini becomes a versatile companion for life.
