About TALA

TALA is a brand that offers sustainable activewear and athleisure styles at competitive prices, without compromising on high-performance designs and flattering fits. The brand was founded by British designer Tala Alamuddin, who is inspired by her life experiences and her rebellious attitude. TALA aims to empower, reward, and celebrate the authenticity of women everywhere, with statement pieces that are chic, funky, and versatile.

TALA is committed to sustainability and ethical production, using recycled and upcycled materials, such as plastic bottles, factory off-cuts, and Q-NOVA®, a regenerated nylon yarn made from waste materials. The brand also uses OEKO-TEX certified fabrics, which are tested for harmful substances and environmental impact. TALA's packaging is also 100% recyclable and biodegradable, made from cornstarch and wood pulp.

TALA is not only a brand, but also a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for style, fitness, and the planet. TALA has a strong presence on social media, where it engages with its customers and influencers, and showcases its products and values. TALA also supports various causes and charities, such as {Women for Women International}, {The Ocean Cleanup}, and {The Prince's Trust}. TALA is a brand that you can feel good in, and good about.

Some of the recent achievements and developments of TALA are:

  • In February 2022, TALA raised £4.2m in funding co-led by Active Partners and Venrex, with the participation of several angel investors, such as Nicola Kilner (CEO & Founder, Deciem), Michelle Kennedy (CEO & Founder, Peanut) and Simon Mottram (Founder, Rapha). The investment will be used to further TALA’s mission of bringing sustainable activewear into the mainstream, investing in inventory, hiring and international growth.
  • In March 2021, TALA launched a collaboration with ASOS, one of the UK's leading online fashion retailers, to offer its products to a wider audience and increase its brand awareness. The collaboration was well-received by customers and media, as it showcased TALA's unique style and sustainability credentials.
  • In July 2020, TALA partnered with Depop, a popular online marketplace for second-hand and vintage clothing, to sell some of its exclusive and limited-edition pieces. The partnership was aimed at promoting circular fashion and reducing waste, as well as giving customers a chance to own some of TALA's rare and sought-after items.
