About Elie Saab

Elie Saab France

Elie Saab, a fashion house synonymous with luxury and elegance, was founded by the eponymous designer in 1982. With a passion for crafting intricate designs, Elie Saab quickly became renowned for his exquisite detailing and the use of luxurious materials such as lace, sequin, feathers, crystals, silk, embroidery, and pearls.

The Creative Vision

From the humble beginnings of sewing scraps of fabric to create dresses for his sisters in Damour, Lebanon, Elie Saab's talent propelled him to launch his own label at the tender age of 18. Despite the onset of the civil war in 1975, Saab's determination to pursue his career in his home country remained unshaken. He initially managed a team of 15, which soon grew as his designs gained popularity for their sleek silhouettes and elegant embellishments.

Global Recognition

Elie Saab's ascent to international acclaim began with his induction as the first non-Italian fashion designer into the Italian Camera Nazionale Della Moda in 1997, where he presented his collection in Rome. His designs have graced numerous red carpets, worn by celebrities such as Halle Berry, Taylor Swift, Meryl Streep, and Angelina Jolie.

Expansion and Innovation

The brand's expansion into the residential sector with Elie Saab Maison in 2019 marked its foray into interior couture. This venture complemented its existing collections of haute couture, ready-to-wear, accessories, bridal, and fragrances. The Elie Saab fashion empire now boasts a presence across five continents with over 175 locations, including flagship stores in Paris, London, and New York.

Commitment to Craftsmanship

Elie Saab remains dedicated to the art of haute couture, with ateliers based in Paris and Beirut. The brand's commitment to craftsmanship and beauty continues to enchant the fashion world, making Elie Saab a distinguished name in the realm of high fashion.
