About The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation

The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation is a philanthropic organization that supports innovative solutions to transform the lives of youth and their families. It was founded in 1995 by Arthur M. Blank, the co-founder of The Home Depot and the owner of several businesses, including the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, PGA TOUR Superstore, Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, West Creek Ranch and Paradise Valley Ranch. The foundation has invested more than $950 million in early childhood development, education, green space, community transformation and the arts. It also leads giving programs for each of the Blank Family of Businesses, involving their associates and customers in charitable causes.

The foundation has committed to significantly accelerating the impact of its philanthropy by focusing on five new priority areas: youth development, democracy, environment, mental health and well-being, and Atlanta’s historic Westside. Across these areas, the foundation aims to address the growing crisis of disconnection in the nation and to create opportunities for people to live connected and purpose-filled lives. The foundation also continues to support essential Atlanta nonprofit institutions and founder-led initiatives on issues such as veterans and the military, stuttering, voting rights and journalism.

The foundation’s mission is to change the world one person, one family, one community at a time by leading with courage and compassion. It honors the giving heart of Arthur M. Blank’s late mother, Molly Blank, who believed in the importance of giving back and instilled that value in her sons and grandchildren. The foundation operates with a set of core values that reflect Arthur M. Blank’s personal and business philosophy: put people first, listen and respond, include everyone, innovate continuously, lead by example and give back to others.
