In 2023, Great River Organic Milling expanded its operations by opening a 35,000 square foot plant in West Central Wisconsin. This state-of-the-art facility features three separate production areas:
- Allergen-Free Production: One section is dedicated to allergen-free production, ensuring safe and reliable packaging for sensitive consumers.
- Packaging Flexibility: Great River can package various products, including powders, particulates, dry beans, legumes, and rice. Their stand-up pouch format accommodates weights ranging from a few ounces to 12 pounds or more.
- Automated Form, Fill & Seal Line: The company further enhanced its packaging capabilities by adding a fully automated and robotic line specifically for rice and beans.
Enrich Foods Partnership
In June 2023, Great River Organic Milling joined the Columbia Grain International family as the flagship for the Enrich Foods consumer products division.
