About Fenty Beauty

Fenty Beauty is a cosmetics brand that was launched by Rihanna on September 8, 2017. The brand is known for its broad inclusivity across skin tones and types, especially catering to those that have been historically underserved by mainstream beauty brands. With the motto "Beauty for All," Fenty Beauty's mission is to create a more inclusive and empowering beauty culture. The original foundation launch included 40 shades, which was considered revolutionary at the time, and has since expanded to 50 shades. The inclusion of Fenty Beauty concealer also includes 50 shades, offering a wide variety for all skin types.

The brand was developed in collaboration with luxury conglomerate Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), and the deal to produce Fenty Beauty was signed in 2016 through LVMH's Kendo division. Kendo Holdings, Inc. is an incubator company that manufactures cosmetics as white-label products for sale through cosmetics retailer Sephora, another LVMH subsidiary, as well as other outlets. The launch of Fenty Beauty was not only a commercial success but also received widespread acclaim for its range of shades offered, particularly for the inclusion of darker shades for its Pro Filt'R foundation, addressing a long-criticized gap in cosmetic industry offerings for black women and other women of color.

In terms of its product offerings, Fenty Beauty provides a variety of items including lip products, foundation, concealer, blush, highlighter, contour, bronzer, eye makeup, body makeup, and tools. The brand is also known for its skincare line, Fenty Skin, which includes products like face moisturizer, body care, lip care, masks, treatments, cleanser, toner, eye care, and more. Fenty Beauty products are high-performing, cruelty-free, and designed to empower individuals to express their unique style and embrace their natural beauty. The brand's approach to beauty is to offer products that cater to a diverse range of skin tones and are accessible to everyone, reflecting Rihanna's vision and commitment to inclusivity in the beauty industry.
