About LANIFICIO BISENTINO

The Lanificio Bisentino is one of the most established and well-known companies in the Prato textile district, active in the production of high-level fabrics and accessories made entirely in Italy. The Lanificio Bisentino was founded in 1944 thanks to the hard work and ingenuity of its founders: the brothers Guglielmo and Mario Gramigni and the brother-in-law Ruggero Nincheri. Located in Via Bologna, not far from the historic center of the city of Prato, the wool mill immediately shows an international vocation, maintaining business relationships with the whole world. During the 1960s the company grew considerably, adapting its structure to growing production volumes and diversifying production to adapt to the demands of increasingly demanding markets. Giampiero, Paolo and Andrea Gramigni complete the path of growth and innovation begun by the previous generation, conquering more and more market shares and laying the foundations of today's company. The end of the 80s, with the move to the Via Gora del Pero site, marks another important step: the company organization is further developed and new production technologies are introduced, always respecting the "Made in Italy" vocation of the Lanificio Bisentino. In 2010 the third Gramigni generation (Lorenzo, Giuditta and Giovanni) started a new cycle by moving to the new headquarters in Comeana where, in more functional and suitable premises, the research and innovation path started 70 years ago continues.
