CARVEMA TÊXTIL, LDA. It is a company with 40 years of existence that is dedicated to dyeing and finishing knitwear. CARVEMA employs 140 workers and has a real capacity of 15 tons / day of finished mesh. It has a variety of dyeing and finishing machines for fabrics that allow great versatility in the treatment of the most diverse articles, from the most traditional fibers such as cotton and polyester, to the most delicate ones such as polyamides, regenerated cellulose fibers and respective mixtures. with elastane, etc. In terms of knit finishing it is equipped with carding, grinding, laminating, ramolar and compacting machines. In this way, it is able to treat practically all types of articles and obtain the most diverse aspects in the meshes. The Chemical Laboratory to support dyeing and the development of new colors has an average capacity of 300 tests per day. Regarding quality control, CARVEMA has a physical laboratory that supports the control carried out in the production and makes the final quality control of the articles with respect to the most diverse parameters requested by the customers, whether physical (weight / m2, dimensional stability, pilling , etc.), or chemicals (red wash, water, acid and alkaline sweat, friction, etc.). CARVEMA has a Quality Certificate in accordance with the ISO 9001 Quality Standard, since 1993. It is also certified in accordance with the Oeko Tex Standard 100, Class I, thus fulfilling the requirements related to human economy required by the standard for articles in contact skin, including baby items. It is certified for practically all types of articles, that is, white and dyed textile surfaces, cellulosic, cellulosic / polyester, polyamides, polyester and their mixtures with elastane. Since 1988, CARVEMA has assumed the concern in the environmental area as a competitive factor, having, since 1992, its own WWTP (Wastewater Treatment Station) and having been in this part for some years, to fully comply with all the environmental standards imposed by the supervisory ministry, namely on atmospheric emissions, the landfill of its banal industrial waste and the sludge resulting from the treatment of its effluents and the collection and later sending for recycling of paper and cardboard waste.
