Today we are one of the largest producers of extra virgin olive oil in Italy and the largest in Sicily. But we are still family-run, using and offering you the best of our family traditions and a genuine taste of Sicily.

A major company with a Sicilian heart

Today the Bono olive oil factory includes the biggest oil mill in Sicily, with an olive oil production capacity of 5 tons per hour, four bottle/can machine lines with a total capacity of 18,000 bottles per hour and an olive oil stock capacity of 8,000 tons. This system allows us to export our superior oils not only throughout Europe, but also across the United States, Canada and Asia.

Thus the ancient oil tradition of the Bono family has spanned the years, generations and continents to arrive at your table and offer you all the authentic taste of the real Sicily, a land of unique, genuine and unforgettable flavors and aromas.

At the origin of our finest selection: the terroir

Our olive oil factory is based in Sciacca, Sicily, in the Val Di Mazara Region. This Region is coveted for its terroir, considered one of the world’s best for the production of high-quality extra virgin olive oil. In particular, this land is very famous because it contains several particularly superior olive varieties perfect for the production of very precious oil.
We refer to different olive varieties such as Biancolilla, Nocellara del Belice and Cerasuola, from which excellent oils are produced.
It’s characterized by a true and authentic flavor that still exists, thanks to the respect we have for the original natural heritage.

Guaranteed and certified quality: our PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil

We are proud to be the largest producer and trader of P.D.O (Protected Designation of Origin) Val Di Mazara-Sicily Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the world.
The quality and authenticity of our P.D.O extra virgin olive oil is certified and guaranteed by the Ministry of Agricultural Food and Forest Politics law Art. 10 of the Regulation EC 510/2006.
This regulation guarantees that the origin of the olives used to produce P.D.O Val di Mazara were grown, harvested and produced in the exclusive region of its name.
