V&A Jardin Print Long Dress

V-neck, midi length dress with full balloon sleeve. A flattering shape with a fitted waist- full at the top and tapers through the skirt. Features a zip and hook and eye fastening at the back to close. A show-stopping, bold piece which looks fab with your favourite knee-length boots. Print: Jardin is based on a colorful French textile design dating back to the 1790s housed in the V&A archive. The original design of exotic plants and motifs resembles earlier imported Indian chintzes that became a fashion phenomenon in Europe and still look sensational centuries later. Maker: This garment was made by Creative Handicrafts, an organisation which supports women in India by providing employment and fair wages. The fabric is made from TENCEL TM branded Lyocell fibres, which are cellulose fibres made from wood pulp.
